RIM is not to be left behind. The Canadian company knows that its Blackberry´s are losing sector every day, thanks to the unstoppable rise of Android and the Almighty iPhone. But RIM won't be idly. Proof of this is that the RIM just bought Jaycut, a small startup that is having enough pull.
The idea of RIM is used Jaycut to help improve the positioning of its tablet, RIM, which is not having the expected success. This will take advantage of all the power of Jaycut.
And is that Jaycut began in 2007 offering an online video editing service. This service is popular because Jaycut offers the possibility to add small details, such as effects and transitions, as well as allowing the possibility to directly upload your videos "tuneados" on Facebook or Youtube.
They have not transcended the terms of the purchase and the cost of the same though from Jaycut reported that from now on it will be part of the RIM team, which is why the figure must have been really sickening. Especially if we consider that the Swedish company was treading very strong and had a future very promising.
As I have said RIM wants to enhance his BlackBerry Playbook with Jaycut because Canadian tablet works very well on video in HD. Soon we'll see how it copes with Jaycut…
